The Hatco FTBX Series Remote Drop-In Frost Tops are designed to keep pre-chilled beverages, snacks, hors doeuvres, and side dishes properly chilled while offering maximum flexibility for custom refrigeration system integration. Ideal for commercial buffet lines, cafeterias, restaurants, and serving counters, these refrigerated frost tops are engineered for installations where the condensing unit is supplied separately, allowing operators and fabricators to customize refrigeration layouts to suit specific kitchen designs.
The FTBX series utilizes NSF 7 approved cold wall construction to maintain chilled product temperatures without drying out food items. Available in standard 1-, 2-, and 3-pan models as well as slim line 2- and 3-pan configurations, the units accommodate both full-size and half-size sheet pans for flexible merchandising and serving applications. Slim line configurations provide wider customer access, even when used with sneeze guards.
FTBX models include a remote electronic control panel shipped loose with 9′ (2.7 meters) probe wires for convenient installation flexibility. These models are shipped without a condensing unit and include a solenoid valve attached to the frost top, making them suitable for integration into remote refrigeration systems supplied by others. Auto-defrost functionality is controlled through an advanced electronic controller programmed at the customer location for reliable operation in high-volume foodservice environments.
